Customer Travel Tip: Enjoy walking around the town, and definitely watch the sealions at the fish market - we loved them.

Liked: A lovely friendly town, easy to get around, great to watch the sealions at the fish market, and check out some of the museums/botanical garden over the bridge. We also enjoyed a visit to the Kuntsmann brewery for a tour.

Disliked: t was great

Customer Travel Tip: Buy delicious seefood on the market, cook it in a good Hostel and make friends there to plan a day trip in Niebla and Corral.

Liked: We especially liked the fish market where we got delicious fish with good value for little money. If you go a little further along the river, you get much nicer views of the sea lions (compared to the market). The castillos of Niebla and Corral are worth a day trip (easily accessible with local buses). While the Castillo of Niebla is free to visit and very informative (Even with a small museum), Corral charges a little fee (1500 pesos) and offers nicer views.

Disliked: Valdivia is a neat town, but may become a little boring after a few days. If you especially like busy towns, buzzing nightlife and shopping malls, you may not like Valdivia.

Customer Travel Tip: You probably don't need more than 2 days in the city, but it's a nice place to relax, enjoy the waterfront and visit some of the surrounding islands. Maybe visit the fish markets and cook up some fresh fish! With Fiestas Patrias everything was closed, but there are a lot of students in the city, so it's probably a fun place to go out!

Liked: Niebla is very beautiful, and the fish markets are definitely worth a visit! The city is located on the waterfront and offers some great views on both sides of the bridge. I was here for Fiestas Patrias, so I got to enjoy the celebrations in Parque Saval (Isla Teja) with food, terremotos and lots of music! Hostel Airesbuenos also made the stay worthwhile.

Disliked: The city itself is mostly uninteresting, with lots of big shopping centres and supermarkets. It's just large enough that it loses the charm of some smaller Chilean towns (like Pucon or Puerto Varas).
