Customer Travel Tip: As an American: if you plan to use a credit card, Visa is best! Some places accepted MasterCard too, but your Discover card will be no good in Canada. Many places, particularly small shops, only took cash.
Liked: BEAUTIFUL architecture! Municipal murals Excellent restaurants Very walkable, even in winter weather Felt quite safe Many fun, small boutiques
Disliked: Lots of construction going on - not the city's fault, just unfortunate timing. Major shopping streets (especially Sainte Catherine) seem to be mostly major chain retailers - a bit boring.
