Customer Travel Tip: Do a day trip to the surrounding areas! Lots of very interesting things too see!

Liked: The culture, the history, the old town, the food was delicious but inexpensive, the bazaar market was really neat, you could walk fairly easily around the city centre, there is a ton of stuff nearby (ie Kravice waterfalls) to go see, and the people are very hospitable.

Disliked: It wasn't a problem for me, but there didn't see, to be a ton of nightlife during the week.

Trip Type:
Backpacking / gap year

Customer Travel Tip: Go to Blagaj (Take bus 10,11 or 12 from Mostar) and besides visiting the very popular and touristy tekija you definitly have to walk to stjepans castle. It takes about 40 min from the tourist Information. You just walk into the direction of the stari grad and after 1 km you take a path on the right. The path is not easy to find, look out for an arrow on the ground made of stones. That points towards the path. Almost noone goes up to the Castle so when you are there youll have the killer view all to yourself..

Liked: When it gets dark and the busses with all the daytrippers are gone, you'll have the old town and the Old Bridge almost to yourself.

Disliked: Very touristy in the daytime.

Customer Travel Tip: Rent a car or use a public transport (buses - check the schedule at the bus stops) to go to Blagaj, Kravice and other places near to Mostar.

Liked: Rich culture, a lot of history, safe and relaxed atmosphere.

Disliked: Locals treat European "Westerners" differently than "Easterners". Being a couple of both, we had an opportunity to find out that they welcome you more eagerly and service is faster if you speak Slavic language instead of English.
