Customer Travel Tip: Isla del sol.
Liked: Church is nice, the hill in the north offers a nice view on the sun set over lake titicaca and the city is the starting point to tours to the isla del sol.
Disliked: Horribly touristic!!! You see far more tourists than locals and walking through town a horde of non-locals wants to drag you into their restaurants. Additionally the beach is full of waste and plastic swans. Simply horrible. My advice: Arrive late, walk the 30 minutes up the hill. Enjoy the sun set and leave next morning at 8:30 with a boat to isla del sol. If you like to walk without many people around you it's nice to take a private boat to Yampupata and walk from their back to Copacabana. It coasts 100 instead of 40 Bolivianos, but for us it was totally worth it. You have to stay on isla del sol though, but I would recommend that anyway, because of the beautiful sun set turning the Cordilera real in a beautiful orange color. At full moon it's even better.

Customer Travel Tip: There are cheaper places to eat away from the main tourist streets Avenida 6 de Agosto & Avenida Costanera. Get an 8.30am boat to Isla del Sol, walk south to north, then stay the night there!
Liked: Good choice of places to eat & drink. Local market easy to find too. Good for walks/hiking. Glorious views. Regular boats to Isla del Sol (takes 90 to 120minutes).
Disliked: Main street leading to Lake, Avenida 6 de Agosto, bit too touristy and has too many people touting for your money! The beach front could do with a good tidy & clean ( and people need educating on how to dispose of their rubbish!).
