Trip Type:
City break Sightseeing & culture

Age Range:
18-24

Customer Travel Tip: Research and plan ahead can save you a lot of time and money, for example I found out that buying a weekly metro ticket is actually cheaper than a 72-hour ticket. Cheaper hotels in the city centre sell out really fast too. It is better to plan your itinerary before reaching Vienna than doing it on the spot to maximize your time. Consider buying Vienna PASS if you are staying longer and plan to cover a lot of attractions. I found Vienna Card not too useful as student discounts are actually better.

Liked: The public transport is well linked and it is easy to travel around. I used mostly metro and some odd trams here and there was able to move around easily. The architecture are nice too and they are all over the place and there are certain hidden gems in odd places, which you need to find out, and it is fun.

Disliked: Coming from a smaller city, I am always a bit overwhelmed by capitals, and Vienna is no exception. There are always too many people everywhere and you might feel as if you would drown in them, but that is just a personal preference.
