Champions League: Where to Watch the Match

Today’s guestblogger is Andy Ha, Hostelbookers’ sports guru who specialises in football. You can add him on Twitter and check out his blog, The 12th Man. But for now, here’s his guide to the best bars in London to watch the match…

On Saturday 19 May at 19:45 UK time, all eyes will be on the Allianz Arena, as Bayern Munich take on Chelsea in European football’s showpiece event.

All tickets for the game are sold out (the cheapest tickets to the game started at a cool €200!). So for those who were not fortunate enough to get a ticket, what could be better than watching the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Frank Lampard on a big screen with a few pints instead?

Here are a selection of fantastic sports bars across the capital where we reckon the atmosphere will be just as electric as being at the game…

Famous 3 Kings, Fulham, W14 9NL

One of the most popular sports pubs in London. From the sports paraphernalia on the walls to the 13 screens showing the action, this is a sports fan’s dream.

During the 2010 World Cup, the pub was jam packed full of fans from all over the world.

A brand new venue with plenty of big screens and plasma screens dotted around this spacious bar.
