Sugar and spice, and all things nice: that’s what to expect from St Christopher’s Inn Oasis hostel which is an all female London hostel. Girls can take their pick of private, 4-bed or 8-bed dorms. Snuggle up in warm duvets, fluffy pillows and new mattresses. Forget lugging about unnecessary luggage; hairdryers, lotions and potions are all available – plus full-length mirrors (a rare commodity in a hostel indeed). The hostel is above a cute little coffee shop; perfect for your free frothy cappuccino in the morning.

Papaya Female Youth Hostel is a female-only hostel with dorms sleeping 4-6 people. You’re given a personal locker or alternatively can book a private room. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out and there are free croissants and coffee at breakfast. All the rooms and facilities are clean, plus you can use free internet kiosks and Wi-Fi for planning your day in the city.

At Plus Prague, girls will appreciate the homely creature comforts on offer; extra space, cosmetic tables equipped with hairdryers, complimentary toiletries and a goody bag are all included into their girls-only dorms. Girls need not feel like total hermits. The rest of the hostel is mixed and boasts an indoor swimming pool which guests can use for free. There is also a free welcome drink, a free city tour, a games room, bar and self catering facilities so it’s ideal for travellers looking to meet fellow backpackers.

Aside from offering a female-only dorm, Caulaincourt Square Hostel has a cool bar too. Located close to Montmartre and Le Sacre Coeur in Paris’s historic bohemian quarter, the hostel offers free Wi-Fi and free bike rental which is a great way to get around the city.

New York City
Jazz on Amsterdam Ave hostel offers ladies 8, 6 or 4-bed dorms some of them en suite and air-conditioned. It is also brand spanking new so all the facilities are modern. It has a fashionable location on the Upper West Side, just a few minutes from Central Park and with plenty of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Spotlessly clean, Lub d Bangkok – Silom offers ladies-only dormitories with private bathrooms and also private rooms.The hostel is equipped with plenty of security features such as key card access to both rooms and communal areas and with lockers in each dormitory.
