Guys and girls, kick back and relax - this travelling lark does not have to be about hot crowded European cities!
Following great success of last months 'summer hot spot' feature, we have pulled together a few tips and advice on the best spots to do just that, kick back and relax.
So dust down that backpack, it's time to get out of London and see what Europe can really be about.

So for those of you that think 'little England' is the only Island for you this summer... get out of London and kick back for a while!
Each year, thousands of Holiday makers and travellers descend to the Greek Islands in search of endless summer sun, a fine suntan and crystal clear waters. They are not disappointed.
|
The Island of Rhodes is a pure delight, and one of the farthest, close to Turkey. An ancient walled city, Rhodes Town is now divided into two parts, the New and the Old Town. This is a beautiful base to explore neighbouring villages and 'white-washed' resorts such as Lindos. Hire a car and explore this beautiful Island.
Jump from there from there to Kos with its popular resorts of Kos and Kardamena and Santorini, a beautiful complex of 5 small Islands.
Close to Santorini lies Ios, settled since 1050 BC and an Island of small churches and white-washed houses. Ios is surprising well catered for the 'traveller' and at Hostelbookers.com you can find good and varied budget accommodation.
Party time in Corfu or Mykonos, ancient history of Athens or beautiful Crete, the list is close to endless and there will be some special piece of Greece for you all.
And what about the Spain? Particularly popular with the Brits and Germans for their annual summer vacation, Islands such as Mallorca remain as popular as they did back in the 'invasion' years of the 60/70s.
Set just off the coast of Spain, Mallorca is part of the Balearic Islands and boasts an average of 300 days of sunshine per year. We are in peak season now and you should plan ahead carefully. Check out the fascinating cosmopolitan city that is Palma, and head off to the many famous resorts along the West or South East coast. And for a real treat, hit the mountains in the North.
And if its a little later in the year you are planning, head off to Lanzarotte - part of the Canary Islands - just off the North African coast, boasting year round 'winter sun'.
So there's just a few to get you going. Check out Hostelbookers.com for many more summer destinations! |
