The Wangfujing Youth Hostel (Utels-Stayokey), with affordable rates, is conveniently located in the center of the progressive Wanfujing Shopping District. It is just a few minutes away from the Beijing Railway Station, shopping area, bars & restaurant, beauty salons, hospitals and many more.

Wangfujing International Youth Hostel Beijing (Utels) is perfectly located in the center of the flourishing Wanfujing shopping district, behind the Beijing Taiwan Hotel in the proximity of the Novotel Hotel. It's just a short walk to the Forbidden City and Beijing's Tiananmen Square is also only a few minutes away. From the Beijing Railway Station it's a 5 minute cab ride or a 15 minute walk.

Having opened in late 2007, the hostel offers 62 spacious guest rooms with shared bathrooms. Each one of the hostel's guest rooms is equipped with comfortable beds and cozy sofas. In order to make the stay even more comfortable for our western guests, we have installed WESTERN toilets in our bathrooms! Wangfujing Youth Hostel is now unquestionably the premier hostel in Beijing for lower budget travelers and backpackers.


We would like to invite you to our restaurant, which offers a variety of western dishes and the best of the tasty, original Chinese cuisine.
In the evening, our brand traveler bar gives you a good opportunity to meet other people in a warm atmosphere or just to relax and get away from it all, enjoying a cool beer.
We also offer free wireless Internet connection in our bar that can be used whenever the bar is open.

Around the hostel you can find everything that you may need during your stay. Fashion boutiques, jewelery shops, hair stylists and beauty salons, massage salons, men's fashion and sports wear shops, hospitals, doctors’ and dentists’ offices, pharmacies, opticians, bookstores (offering the biggest selection of foreign language books in town) and souvenir shops – everything less than a 5 minute walk away. There is also an abundance of western food outlets like Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonalds, Subway, Starbucks, pizzerias & cafes found in the vicinity.
Even closer to the hostel is a post office and a Bank of China office, which makes changing money, withdrawing cash or sending home a good old proper letter very easy and convenient.
It’s only 2 minutes to the famous Dong Hua Men Specialty Night Food Market – recommended by the Lonely Planet and definitely worth a visit.

We recently changed our payment policy for booking during the Olympic Games. We now allow payment upon arrival at the hostel instead of transfers before arrival. (as of 19.07.08)
