Overview
Youth Hostel / Pension Glockenhaus: Family owned business for 30 years. 5-10 minutes walking distance to the city centre and to the free ski and hiking bus. 10 minutes walking to the mountains and the Alpine Zoo. Traditional and simple rooms: Dormitories, doubles and singles rooms are all possible!
We are a family owned hostel and pension, part of an old castle, mentioned 1526. Our house was an old medieval factory for guns and canons. The know-how was involved to help winning the battle of Trafalgar.
Later the house became a factory for bells, that’s where the name 'Glockenhaus' (House of Bells) comes from. Our walls are one meter thick and have never been changed.
We have been running our house for 30 years and are well recommended. No curfew and no lockout. We offer no Breakfast.
We are located few houses uphill direction alpine zoo. Near to bus stop 'Schmelzergasse' (Bus D) and in front of bus stop "Schloß Büchsenhausen' (Bus W), 5 minutes to congress house and city centre, 10 minutes to Alpine Zoo, 25 minutes walking to train station.
Our business 'Youth Hostel St. Nikolaus' is closed but we still offer dormitories in our Pension.
Reception is open from
9-11 a.m. and 5-10 p.m.
