Ryanair announces backpacking flight sale
Those planning backpacking trips may be interested to learn that budget airline Ryanair has launched a new seat sale.
The carrier has released one million seats at an all-inclusive price of £2.99 for travelers booking flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in November and early December.
According to Ryanair, passengers can avoid paying extra charges by using a Visa Electron card and carrying hand-luggage only.
Stephen McNamara, a spokesman for the airline, said the discounted tickets are "sure to be snapped up fast".
"Ryanair provides Europe's lowest fares and a no fuel surcharge guarantee," he added.
Passengers have until midnight on Friday November 13th to make their booking.
Destinations currently served by the carrier include Dublin, Cork, Barcelona, Malaga and Rome.
In related news, Virgin Atlantic announced last week that it has launched a new iPhone application to help travelers overcome their flying fears.
It features breathing exercises, relaxation tips and an introduction from Sir Richard Branson.
