Low-budget Boston flights extended to other US cities

Low-budget Boston flights extended to other US citiesTravelers to Boston will be able to take advantage of a new flight service between Boston and other major cities.

JetBlue is to introduce flights from the city to Los Angeles and San Francisco from 12th February 2009, while connections to New York from Los Angeles will be rolled-out from 17th June 2009.

According to the Boston Globe, JetBlue plans to connect to Montego Bay in Jamaica with passengers flying from Boston able to transfer to direct flights from New York.

This spells good news for hostel-staying travelers who now have a greater choice of low-cost transport options while backpacking across the US.

JetBlue's Sebastian White told the local newspaper: "We're committed to making JetBlue even more relevant to Boston travelers … by offering flights to their most-requested destinations."

He added that the decrease in fuel costs and rise in fares had suggested that the timing was perfect to extend services to Boston.

Non-stop daily flights from Boston to St Martin in the Caribbean are also planned from 14th February 2009.
