Book ski accommodation early, travellers told
British holidaymakers have been advised to arrange their ski accommodation sooner rather than later this winter.
The Daily Mail reports that travelers could find it more difficult to book flights and board to popular ski resorts in Europe if they leave it until the last minute, as the number of available places is down on last year.
Ski bookings from British holidaymakers saw a decline of 13 percent last season, prompting many tour operators to scale back their offerings this time around.
In addition, ski resort bookings are already filling up rapidly for traditionally-popular periods such as new year and February half-term.
"With less availability, it is unlikely that prices will dive towards the end of this season as they did last winter when many operators were forced to offer huge discounts as the recession bit deep," the newspaper explains.
"There are good deals on the market for early bookers."
Meanwhile, the Telegraph has reported that the reduced capacity on many flights to ski destinations has led to a growing number of Britons driving to their resort and choosing self-catering accommodation.
