Backpacking in Belfast during the City Carnival
Travelers who find themselves in Northern Ireland tomorrow (27th June 2009) may wish to make their way to the Belfast City Carnival.
Backpackers may wish to extend their Belfast excursion and book their hostels for an extra night so they may participate in what promises to be a vibrant and music-filled Saturday afternoon.
Kicking off at 13:30 (local time) with live music performances in Writers Square, the Carnival parade will set off at 14:00.
From its starting point it will wind its way along Donegall Street to Royal Avenue before stopping for a music performance at the Royal Avenue and Castle Place in the city centre at 14:30.
The lively and fun parade will then continue along the High Street and climax in Custom House Square at 15:00.
While in Belfast, backpackers can also spend time visiting attractions such as the Titanic Quarter, Ulster Museum and historical cathedrals and churches.
