Backpackers will find "youthful vitality" in Berlin

Those planning to take a backpacking trip around Europe over the coming month may wish to put Berlin on their itinerary.

Writing for the Telegraph, Adrian Bridge noted that the German city is "constantly reinventing itself" and has a great deal to offer travelers.

"Although Berliners themselves admit that much of the city isn't pretty, it has a dynamic cultural identity. There are green spaces, flowing rivers and canals; it has artistic vibrancy and youthful vitality," he commented.

The city is, according to Mr Bridge, a fantastic destination that is undergoing change on a huge scale.

Some of the places he recommends for travelers to visit include the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial and Potsdamer Platz.

According to Real Gap Experience, backpacking can be an excellent investment and help people stand out from the crowd when it comes to employment opportunities and job interviews.

The organisation claimed that those who take gap year breaks are likely to develop vital skills including problem solving, improvisation and the ability to communicate effectively.
