Additional Prague flights spell good news for budget travelers
The launch of a new series of flights to Prague means backpackers and hostel-staying, budget travelers will have an additional low-cost option when planning their trip.
Wizz-Air announced that it is to introduce a total of six new flights to Europe's sixth most popular destination.
New routes will include London Luton, Rome and Eindhoven and will begin from mid-February although discounted flights and promotional offers are available to those who wish to book now.
With the pound weakening and the eurozone become a more expensive place to holiday, Prague is one of the few European capitals that still offers value for money.
Jozsef Varadi, chief executive officer of Wizz Air, commented: "Wizz Air's opening of the Prague market is a logical and well-timed step of the airline's expansion in central and eastern Europe.
"We aim at becoming the leading low cost carrier in the Czech Republic in the coming years as in our other home markets."
