This year's Melt Festival in Ferropolis near the German capital of Berlin is set to take place this weekend, July 18th-20th.
However, this is no back-to-nature festival taking place in a middle of nowhere field, instead appealing to the industrial urbanite in tourists by taking place in a disused mine.
But if the city-of-steel setting that is Ferropolis does not appeal to the
backpacking festivalgoer elite, the line-up certainly will.
Bjork, Kate Nash and Franz Ferdinand are just some of the major players on this year's stellar performance list.
Aside from live performances, there is also an impressive selection of DJs on offer, led by drum and bass veteran Goldie and Germany's own techno legend Ellen Allien.
The festival could also be the ideal precursor to a visit to Berlin.
However, Madonna fans attending the festival may wish to save their tour of the capital until the pop star's Sticky and Sweet performance at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on August 28th.
