Europe's gay community is no doubt counting down the days in the run up to the Amsterdam Pride festival, which takes place between August 1st and 3rd 2008.
One of Europe's largest annual gay and lesbian events, this year's Canal Parade promises to be one of the best so far.
Some 75 colorfully decorated boats will make up the famous Prinsengracht and Amstel River for this year's central party piece, with more than 350,000 spectators expected to join in on the riverbank.
Visitors can expect
hostels to be packed to the brim across the whole of Amsterdam, with a vast array of street parties expected to take place over the weekend.
Once the canal procession reaches its conclusion at 6pm however, the party really begins.
Events expected to attract the bulk of this year's excitable revelling crowd include the famed White Party, as well as the free outdoor event hosted by Rapido at the Zeedijk.
