A new theme park offering tourists the opportunity to swim with crocodiles is set to open in Darwin, Australia later this week.
However, there is less risk of leaving with a missing limb at the new Crocosaurus Cove than any other
diving breaks, despite being inches from some sizeable reptilian knashers.
Visitors to the Cage of Death attraction are kept safe by a 4cm acrylic tube-like receptacle that is plunged into a crocodile tank.
Northern Territory News reporter, Jim Charles, tried out the new attraction and remarked that it really does take people as close as is comfortably possible to the tanks resident, Chopper the crocodile.
Describing his bumpy encounter with Chopper, he said: "It was pretty amazing - a good adrenaline rush. You just feel the power when it hit the cage. You wouldn't have a chance."
Crocosaurus Cove will be one of the largest in Australia when it finally opens its doors to the public.
The centre's residents include 100 crocodiles and around 40 turtles, as well as other waterborne lizards and fish.
