Slovakia offers visitors an opportunity to indulge in some less conventional activities, one expert has claimed.
Tourists will have the opportunity to indulge in more mainstream activities, such as hiking or skiing breaks in the country's mountainous and lush countryside.
But according to Petra Gajdosikova, managing director of Slovakia Investment Property, there is a great deal more unusual holiday activities to do besides.
She said: "It has lakes and mountains - which offer great skiing - [and] you see historic cities and castles which are all over Slovakia.
"If you're interested in something like hunting, or any sports activities, then again many of the regions do offer these."
Slovakia was recently granted permission to adopt the Euro on January 1st 2009 by the European Commission.
Many expect this to have a positive impact on investment in tourism in the country, which boasts a rich a diverse history.
Meanwhile, Ms Gajdosikova notes that the country's culture is comparable to that of Austria's stunning capital Vienna.
