A new map of Florida for the visually impaired has been produced.
The new map will make
gap year travel navigation easier for those that have difficulties reading regular maps because of the small print.
Chairman of the Visit Florida board, Nicki E Grossman, quipped that people will now have to come up with better excuses for not following directions.
He said: "The large print tactile map will provide easy reading for those of us who find reading the regular size map challenging."
The map is 36 per cent larger than normal maps, with highway numbers as well as trail listings, toll roads and clearer destination names.
Florida experienced an increase in foreign tourists of two per cent during the first quarter of 2008, despite the economic downturn.
