Backpacking tourists holidaying in Florida could be set for an encounter with a minor celebrity bear, according to reports.
Described as "small and lankey" this new non-threatening urbanite has been spotted around the popular Universal Studio's area.
The new bear attraction is not expected to be a threat to the public as it is only a young animal.
Meanwhile, it could also serve as good publicity for another, more permanent tourist attraction in the Universal Studios theme park.
Its latest theme park ride is based on the Simpsons TV show, in which a vagrant bear touring a theme park may not look out of place.
There are also plenty of crocodiles and alligators on show in the tourist areas of Florida and Orlando, although these are even less likely to be a threat housed in the safe enclaves of Gatorland.
The black bear first aroused suspicion when it was spotted taking a leisurely dip in the Rock Hard Hotel.
