Social networking site Bebo will launch its online reality travel show The Gap Year today (May 21st), fronted by Irish girl Roxanne Hughes-Monteiro.
The show will follow six young people as they take part in a six-month around the world trip with their progress tracked by their online audience.
Selected applicants, the envy of
gap year travel enthusiasts everywhere, were selected out of a pool of 400 others that put themselves forward for the role.
The show, which has been produced by the company behind Channel 4's Big Brother Endemol UK, will begin today in an as of yet unnamed location.
Roxanne will join international companions from Canada, New Zealand, America, UK and Australia.
However, in a twist of reality TV fate, the participants will have their activities and gap year choices dictated by the dedicated online Bebo audience, who will vote on the next difficult task the group must encounter.
