A new London guidebook provides
gap year travel tourists with a local's led-tour of the city.
The new Hedonist's Guide to London (Hg2 London) list's the capital's best in hotel, restaurant and nightlife, but from a Londoners rather than tourist perspective.
Editor Fleur Britten claims that the guide details everything a fresh-off-the-plane tourist needs to know about recreation in London, from mingling with the hipsters in Hoxton to getting gritty in London's less well-known haunts.
She adds that bars and clubs in "ever more remote sites of graffiti-ed, gritty urbanity in Dalston, Stoke Newington and Hackney Marshes" are becoming popular and are well worth a glance by any visiting tourist.
There are a total of 33 hotels and 38 restaurants reviews, while introducing the reader to the best in local shopping and hideaway bars and pubs.
Other Hg2 guides include Barcelona, Marrakech, New York and Rome.
