A gap year traveler from Chicago in the US will have her holiday planned by members of a social networking site, it has been revealed.
Broadcast journalism student 24-year-old Cara Cioni won a competition on social networking site Bebo and will now star alongside five other gap year travelers in an online reality show broadcast on the site.
But in a bizarre twist, the tourists will have holiday decisions made on their behalf by the online audience.
Other backpackers will join the online
gap year travel experience from Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Canada once they have been selected.
President of Bebo Joanna Shields wished Cara the best of luck before she set off on her travels.
"Self expression, community and discovering new experiences are the heart of what Bebo is all about, and Cara is the perfect representation of all these values," she added.
The Gap Year show is set to launch on the site on May 21st.
