
Wales' activity holiday profile is set to receive a boost from the latest international meeting of mountain climbers from around the globe.
The British Mountaineering Council International Meet is set to welcome high-profile climbers from more than 20 countries to tackle the peaks of Snowdonia in North Wales.
According to mountaineering centre Plas Y Brenin's chief executive, Martin Doyle, there is growing worldwide interest in Wales as a tourism destination.
He told the Daily Post: "It is truly world famous. We have such quality and variety of rock types all within easy reach and all in such beautiful natural surroundings.
"This is the latest in a string of international events we are hosting this year and we already have several scheduled for next year."
Backpacking tourists will also be keen, with plenty of budget adventure holiday offers available for the savvy traveler.
