
Travellers flying from Heathrow's £4.3 billion new Terminal 5 faced lost luggage and up to 34 cancelled flights yesterday.
Staff had trouble parking and baggage handlers had difficulties clocking in. This had a knock on effect over the course of the day which added to luggage problems.

Willie Walsh, chief executive of British Airways (BA), said: "Yesterday was definitely not British Airways' finest hour.
"We disappointed many people and I apologise sincerely. I take responsibility for what happened. The buck stops with me."
Some passengers booked on to cancelled flights slept in the airport in order to fly today.
BA has stated that 80 per cent of flights will operate today with cancellations affecting internal flights to Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
The airline added that their will be no disruptions to long-haul flights to and from Heathrow.
