
The weak US dollar has ushered in a productive shopping opportunity for many people travelling to the United States, according to Frances Tuke of Association of British Travel Agents [ABTA].
The pound continues it's a strong position against the dollar, buying at $2.0166 at today's rate.
Ms Tuke says that the US is a good place to go shopping, along with any other countries which take the dollar.
Although people must be careful of the US sales tax, which varies from state to state, along with their own personal tax limit.
"You can't just buy whatever you want, there is a limit and you must make sure you haven't gone past that," Ms Tuke warned.
Equally, many people are making the most of the weak dollar to secure a piece of US property, as reported in the Independent today.
