A brand new central London hostel looks set to blow the socks off its
backpacking and
gap year travel guests, with its budget prices.
The Bolsover Street hostel costs a whopping £4.3 million to build but costs under £20 per night and is located only a stone's throw away from the tourist centre Oxford Street.
Forming part of the Youth Hostel Association's (YHA) £13.5 million regeneration of its
budget accommodation throughout England and Wales, which includes other notable
hostels projects in Bristol, Gloucestershire and Bangor.
A YHA spokesperson told the Evening Standard: "We're always looking to put great facilities in great locations. Bolsover Street is just a few minutes away from Oxford Street and a short walk from Soho.
"The actual hostel is safe, comfortable and superbly equipped and has excellent rates. Its design is not something people would usually expect of a youth hostel."
The Bolsover hostel features include a social area with a large tube map as the centre piece for a collection of chairs for any overwhelmed
backpacking tourist to regain their bearings.
