The Official Santa Cruz County Traveler's Guide for 2008 features environment-conscious tips on travelling green, it has been revealed.
Green-fingered governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will no doubt be proud of the eco-conscious offering, which also provides details of some of the county's best attractions.
"The 'green travel' trend we are seeing is very well represented by this opportunity to donate and related content throughout the book," Virginia Johnson, executive director of Ecology Action, told the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
But this is more than just a clever PR move. The guide makes use of the Visitor Council's 13 years of travel guide experience.
In addition to invaluable energy-saving travel tips, the guide also provides an opportunity to contribute to many of the county's environmental charities.
Those interested in visiting Santa Cruz, home to one of the world's oldest wooden rollercoasters on the Beach Bordwalk and the Surf Museum, can pick up a copy of the guide on the Visitor Council website.
