The 9th Golden Beach Festival in Chandipur-on-sea will kick off in India tomorrow.
A three day event that has gained an impressive status over the last eight years since it began, it has become one of the more prominent cultural festivals in Orissa.
Attendees can expect a multitude of entertainment on offer, including parasailing and zorbing.
However, this year's main attraction will no doubt be Itishree Mohanty's Odissi dance and her Bhubaneswar troupe.
This year's celebrations also have a special significance, inaugurating the Chandipur development project on the beach.
Minister for tourism, Excise Debi Prasad Mishra, will launch the event.
The festival first occurred in February 2003 and was set up to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by great Indian scientist Sir CV Raman in 1928.
This year's 9th Golden Beach Festival is being organised by the National Adventurous Foundation.
