A series of strikes next month look set to disrupt BAA airports during January.
Up to 5,000 workers represented by the Unite Union could take part in the strikes, scheduled to take place on three dates throughout January.
Two 24-hour walkouts are scheduled for January 7th and 24th, while a 48-hour strike is expected to take place on January 17th.
All three are scheduled to begin at 6:00GMT.
The strikes will take place at all seven of BAA's UK airports including Heathrow, Gatwick and Edinburgh.
BAA maintains that the strike is unnecessary, maintaining that pension arrangement - the reason for the strike - will not affect existing employees.
"We do recognize that there are important concerns and these will continue to be addressed through discussions with the unions and staff," they added.
Reports suggest that airports will be particularly busy over this festive season, with more than an estimated 3.5 million Britons heading abroad for Christmas and New Year this season, according to ebookers.com.
