Discount airline easyJet has launched its new flights from the East Midlands to Barcelona in style.
Customers on the inaugural flight, that set off today from the East Midlands Airport, were treated to some Spanish treats in the form of Flamenco dancers and Spanish musicians.
Flights on the new easyJet route will run four-times a week, providing tourists with cheap flights and low cost deals.
Fares start at just £17.99 one way and £30.98 return, making the cost of a trip to the Spanish city, inclusive of tax, less than £50.
David Osborne, easyJet UK general manager, said: "Forward sales for this new route have been strong.
"We look forward building on this success when we launch another new route to Palma, Majorca from East Midlands in February," he added.
The musical bonanza was unleashed while passengers queued up for check-in.
