Use of Tasers by Canadian police has come under fire from the media following the death of a Polish immigrant in Vancouver airport.
The incident, in which the victim's final moments were caught on camera by a member of the public, has caused public outrage in Canada.
40-year-old Robert Dziekanski was kept in a secure area of the airport for nine hours before his aggressive furniture-throwing outburst led to police being called to the scene.
The ensuing debate centers around the general rise in incidents of Taser use by police across the country, in addition to contradictory reporting of events by police in the Vancouver case.
Amnesty Canada has not called for a ban on Taser use.
"We're not confident that there's enough information for police officers to safely use this weapon," Amnesty Canada's John Tackaberry told the BBC.
Polish justice authorities announced that they are investigating the death of Mr Dziekanski, who was shocked repeatedly by police officers after only 60 seconds of having been approached.
