A BBC journalist and four other people have died in a motorway accident just outside of popular backpacking destination La Paz in Bolivia.
The crash, involving a taxi and two lorries, underlines the importance of budget backpackers travelling abroad to be careful when selecting transport to travel from place to place abroad.
Journalist Lola Almudevar died when her taxi crashed into two lorries that had collided only moments before, killing the two drivers in the process.
The BBC said: "She [Lola] was building a great reputation and will be terribly missed by us all."
Ms Almudevar was en route to the capital city of Sucre, where there are currently protests being held following the approval of Bolivia's new draft constitution, reports the BBC.
Flights to the capital have been temporarily suspended following violent clashes with police, which have seen a jail set on fire and over 100 prisoners released.
Three other Bolivians were injured in the car crash.
