Jetsetters keen on travelling to Australia in 2008 have been given the opportunity to take advantage of cheap internal flights by Tiger Airways.
The sale, which will see a limited number of selected flight tickets sold at a flat-rate of $19.95 (£8.50), is to celebrate the new services between Melbourne and Gold Coast, and Rockhampton and Mackay.
Tiger Airways put a total of 75,000 tickets up for sale today, on flights including those from Melbourne to Adelaide and Melbourne to Canberra.
Tiger Airways chief executive officer, Tony Davis, said: "We are absolutely delighted by the response we have had to Tiger's entry to the Australian domestic market with many of the flights already sold out"
Tickets, which are available on flights between February 1st 2008 and October 25th 2008, are likely to sell fast, so those wishing to take advantage are encouraged to act quickly.
