Two separate flights were forced to make emergency landings after technical faults this week.
A British Airways (BA) Prague to London flight and a SAS Scandinavian Airlines plane traveling from Bergen to Copenhagen were both grounded after landing gear was found to be faulty.
The SAS incident involved the Bombardier Q400 aricraft, two of which crashed in separate incidents last week, causing SAS to ground the whole fleet.
SAS's deputy chief executive, John Dueholm, said: "There is a risk that use of the Dash 8-400 could eventually damage the SAS brand."
The company has decided to discontinue use of the planes despite Bombardier suggesting there is no link between this week's and last month's incidents.
The BA incident involved a Boeing aircraft, which returned to Prague in the Czech Republic to make its emergency landing.
No-one was seriously injured in either the Boeing - carrying 148 people- or the Q400 - carrying 44 people- landings.
