The Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO) has agreed a series of measures to boost its tourism industry.
At the latest CTO conference in Puerto Rico, a series of measures were adopted by all member countries with the intention of making the Caribbean an example to the rest of the tourist world.
Speaking at the conference, Caribbean Tourism Organisation chairman Alan Chastanet said: "Within the next three years the world will look at the Caribbean as an example of best practice in all things related to tourism."
The 32 member countries were told of the need for CTO-wide umbrella policies, according to TravelMole.
A spokesperson for the CTO told the newspaper that the Organisation needed to work harder to market the Caribbean, with all the countries under on banner.
The next event in one of the lesser known Caribbean tourist destinations is the second annual Soualiga Film Festival, taking place from December 10 - 15th 2007 in St Kits and Nevis.
