A 15-year-old student was shot dead in Toronto on Wednesday, with police still hunting for a suspect.
Jordan Manners was shot in the chest at CW Jefferys Collegiate school and later died in the city's Sunnybrook Hospital - it is believed to be the first school shooting in Toronto.
A lockdown was ordered after police found the boy, with students locked in their classroom for over three hours.
Though witnesses reported a fight outside the school before the gunman followed Manners inside, Detective Sergeant Chris Buck said that no direct witnesses have yet come forward.
"It may have been a student. It may have been someone who was not supposed to be in the school. It's something we're going to have to find out about," he said.
No weapon has been found as of yet and CW Jefferys remains shut down.
