
Anyone planning to be in California next month should make sure they take in San Francisco's Carnaval from May 26th to May 27th.
Taking place on the Memorial Day Weekend, it is an enormous celebration that features groups from all over the world.
The highlight of the weekend is the Grand Carnaval Parade on the Sunday which will see hundreds of colourful performers and paraders take to the streets.
Dancers, drummers, stilt walkers and many more will be showing off to the crowds and there will be musical exhibitions from Jamaica, the Bahamas, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Trinidad.
Mexican Aztecs will also be attendance, while the Polynesian dancers and African drummers will also be entertaining the crowds.
This event draws together the many strands of San Francisco's community and also attracts many visitors from overseas, making for a wonderful experience for all.
