Cheap Bermudan flights launched
Low-cost airline Zoom has announced it is set to offer a new London Gatwick to Bermuda service.
The firm, which specialises in long-haul flights at cheap rates, has announced it will offer twice weekly flights to the island from June 8th, with all-inclusive prices starting at £110 one way.
It is thought to be the first time an airline has competed with British Airways on the route since 1967.
In addition, the carrier's new London to New York service, which recently opened for business, will stop at Bermuda twice a week.
"These services will offer people a high quality but affordable way of travelling direct to Bermuda," said John Boyle, the co-owner of Zoom Airlines.
"What makes this even more exciting is the opportunity of a twin stay in New York and Bermuda with Zoom scheduled direct flights from London Gatwick."
The Ottawa-based company also offers flights from eight Canadian cites to six airports in the UK, as well Paris Charles de Gaulle.
