Oz is top of the holiday pops
Australia has been found to be the leading destination for Britons when it comes to making that trip of a lifetime.
A study by American Express has revealed that 13 per cent of Brits placed Australia as their "dream destination", while New Zealand was in second place with eight per cent of the vote.
Canada and the US also performed well, collectively polling 11 per cent of the vote.
The findings confirm that while Brits may have found a likeness for going to far flung places, they still want to speak English when they get there, although that doesn't normally stop them wherever they are in the world.
"Travel packages are more popular than ever, as travellers are looking for unique offerings that combine luxury and savings," said travel expert Rudy Maxa.
The Caribbean is the most popular spot for an island dream holiday.
