Four dead after sewage flood in Gaza
At least four people have died in a village in the Gaza Strip after a sewage treatment pool collapsed, flooding the area in Palestine, the BBC reports
Palestinian interior minister Hani al-Qawasmeh went to the scene but according to a BBC correspondent in Jerusalem, angry residents from the village of Umm al-Naser crowded around him when he was looking at the damage.
About 25 people are reported to have been injured out of a population of 3,000 but many more people are unaccounted for.
Hamas militants and other rescuers were helping with the rescue effort and the Israeli army has said it will help.
Ziad Abu Farya, the village council head, told the Associated Press news agency that the scene was "our tsunami".
The cause of the pool collapse is currently unknown although Palestinian authorities are investigating.
