Posh and Becks on show in New York

Plastic figures of David and Victoria Beckham have been put on display at the New York branch of Madame Tussauds.

David, who recently signed a multi-million pound deal with LA Galaxy, is dressed in a black tuxedo, while his wife is fitted with a green dress.

Tucked away in the corner is one of the attraction's George Bush figures, who is holding a sign saying "Welcome to America".

Janine DiGioacchino, general manager of Madame Tussauds New York, said: "We are very excited to give visitors a chance to get up close and personal with Posh and David Beckham.

"Posh and Becks are celebrity icons in England and already on the path to superstardom in the United States."

Visitors to the attraction are encouraged to fully embrace the couple by way of kisses and hugs, as well as photos.

Victoria arrived in LA to a press furore resembling a rugby scrum and the star couple are set to be triggering paparazzi flashes for some time.
