Mexican tourists flee hurricane
Hundreds of tourists have fled from the west of Mexico as a storm approaches the country's Baja California peninsula.
Tropical Storm Paul, which has been downgraded from a hurricane, is expected to arrive later today, bringing major storms to the tourist spot of Los Cabos on the southern tip of the peninsula.
The category one storm is set to unleash winds of around 50 mph on the area, causing many locals and visitors to flee.
Tourists have been told that if they are unable to make arrangements to get away, they should stay indoors.
Emergency workers are said to be in position in Los Cabos to assist those who are injured in the storm while the local authority has taken the decision to close the resort's port, frustrating many tourists who had arrived to enjoy the area's famed fishing.
Experts predict that the storm is set to pass by close to the peninsula before heading towards the mainland.
