People flocking to the West Midlands
Tividale, a small Midlands town between Dudley and Birmingham will receive an influx of around 10,000 visitors as of Wednesday 23rd August.
For around five days Tividale will be a centre for the Hindu faith to celebrate and worship the opening of a new temple.
The temple itself is a remarkable sight and is sure to attract many visitors curious to see the development for themselves.
It all points to the small residential town being turned into a festival hotpot for five days, attracting thousands of people.
Tividale is made up of mostly new developments and existing village areas; it has a non-league football team, a few pubs and two churches.
However, now Tividale has two huge fibreglass elephants and the largest Hindu temple to be built in Europe.
The building itself is based on the Tirupati-Tirumala Temple in south India and the fibreglass elephants act as sentinels to the temple entrance.
Marquees are in place to cater for the influx of visitors and the temple is currently receiving the finishing touches to its granite interior and sacred monuments.
The project has cost around £6.5 million and was completed with grants and donations.
The coming weeks and months will see a new spiritual building for Hindus making itself at home.
The small town of Tividale now has the biggest Hindu temple in Europe as a rather impressive selling point.
