Monarch expands services
Monarch Airlines has announced the launch of two new routes from its Manchester base.
The carrier has unveiled the flights from Manchester, which will travel to Ibiza and Jerez as from next summer.
Monarch plans to travel to Jerez four times per week, while its Ibiza route will see five flights from Manchester running every week.
"We are confident that the addition of Ibiza to the network will be hugely popular with our passengers," commented Monarch scheduled services managing director Tim Jeans.
Mr Jeans added that the company is "delighted" to be offering such expanded services from its largest UK base to the "people of the north-west".
Meanwhile, the company has also increased its services to Palma, meaning that from next summer it will offer twice-daily flights to the city from Manchester.
However, low passenger numbers mean that the airline has decided to cancel its route between Blackpool and Malaga, with the service stopping from October this year.
