Violence erupts in Nepal
Violence has flared once again in Nepal, as protestors demonstrate against King Gyanendra.
Four government vehicles were burnt by protestors as they demonstrated against the delays which are now taking place in attempts to reduce the king's influence.
Unrest in the country had been quelled after the king agreed to reinstate the government, but a decision by political parties to postpone the debate on reducing King Gyanendra's powers was met with hostility once again, highlighting the fragile state of Nepal.
Krishna Sitaula, home minister, has appealed for calm, but there is a growing feeling among the Nepalese that the current regime will not act strongkly enough against the king.
If no decision on the curbing of King Gyanendra's powers is forthcoming in the near future, there is a growing risk that the widespread violence that was seen in April could return across Nepal.
