Super-plane ideas increase
Air travel is set to become bigger and better in the future, with plans for planes that can hold even more passengers in greater comfort.
Proposals announced by US aircraft manufacturer Boeing suggest that it is looking to expand its current 787 Dreamliner.
The new plane would allow for 300 passengers on board, while ensuring they have adequate room and all the usual comforts, but is not the only new extended plane to be in consideration.
Reports also suggest that Boeing may respond to requests for an even more advanced aircraft, which could be seen as competition for the new Airbus A380 Superjumbo.
The Superjumbo is presently undergoing flight tests but is widely anticipated and is reported to hold 555 passengers, a significant increase on current plane capacity.
These plans follow the development of new technology to ensure that plane food is served at the perfect temperature, indicating that air travel will continue to become a more relaxed and comfortable way for travellers to get around.
