Lufthansa boosts London services
Airline company Lufthansa has announced an increase to its services from London City airport, increasing the number of flights it puts on to Germany.
The company has revealed that it is to increase its flight frequencies to Germany by almost 40 per cent by the start of this summer.
Announcing its new summer 2006 timetable for its flights from the Docklands-based airport, Lufthansa stated it will also be adding a new service to its offering, opening up flights from London to Stuttgart.
That will be the third destination for flights from City airport, after Dusseldorf and Frankfurt.
The new timetable will see the airline offering travellers 18 weekly flights from City airport to the three German destinations.
Lufthansa has also announced plans to develop its reach further into Asia, by offering customers three new connections from Frankfurt to Shanghai, two extra to Hong Kong and four more connections from Munich to Beijing.
